Lauren Bamford developed her visual language through the music and skateboarding sub-cultures of Australia’s East Coast. Evolving her artistic practice, her photography evokes an inspired connection to time, place and collective memory.
Institutionally collected by Australia’s Monash Gallery of Art (MGA) among other globally renowned institutions, Lauren has established her reputation as a documentary still life and reportage photographer. Her work for the travel, fashion, cosmetic and product industries spans editorial, commercial and fine art photography. Lauren’s unique visual signature brings her subjects to life with complex composition and wry humour, elevating quotidian subjects through the complex, painterly interplay of light and shadow.
